· ‘FOSTER CARERS’ NEEDED.
Due to the exciting new butterfly house ready to be constructed on the
island, we have potted up well over a thousand plants to be ready for planting
in it. We are asking locals to ‘foster care’ these plants at their homes.
Please take these potted plants home to care for until they are established as
bigger and stronger plants for being planted in our new butterfly house. We
expect to be open by the end of this year, 2015. If you are a dedicated
pot-plant carer then please put your hand up to help. Thank you very much in
advance.
· GRAND OPENING
We will be hosting a butterfly volunteers, friends, family and supporters
day for the opening of our new butterfly house on Bribie
Island. All local businesses, volunteer groups and organizations are encouraged
to be a part of this fun day. Date to be confirmed.
· POTTING WORKSHOPS
A fun little gathering to help us re-pot the many plants required for our
butterfly plant supply. Everyone can learn how to pot the host and nectar
plants – kids are welcome. All of the potting mix, plants, pots and information
are supplied.
